A Taste of Angus Charter
The Taste of Angus Food Charter promotes the use of local food through cafes and restaurants, schools, public bodies, community groups, shops and by individuals. It aims to support local food and drink businesses and farmers, and create a healthier food culture in Angus, which will result in the availability of higher quality and tastier food for residents and visitors.
Anyone can sign up for the charter, pledging to make small (or large) changes in the food they buy, sell, cook or eat that will help address locally important priorities related to food such as strengthening the local economy, shorter supply chains, environmental sustainability, good food for all and improved community food culture.
All you have to do is read and agree with the objectives of the charter and make your individual pledge. If you are already doing brilliant work to support local good food you can use this as your pledge as well – tell everyone about it!
The Taste of Angus Food Charter objectives are:
- Good food for all
- Strengthening the local economy
- Environmental sustainability
- Strong community food culture
