Visit Angus is the area marketing campaign which aims to raise the profile of Angus as a visitor destination in Scotland, managed by Angus Council.
The focus of the Visit Angus campaign is mainly digital. The Visit Angus online channels are used to promote activities, events, news and competitions. The Visit Angus Facebook page has over 8,200 ‘likes’, Twitter has over 1,300 followers and Instagram has 800 followers.

The Visit Angus website features information on where to stay, where to eat and drink, what to see and do and events taking place throughout the year in Angus. The website receives over 225,000 visits annually. To ensure you have an up to date business listing simply complete this form.
Accommodation Listing for The Open 2018, 15 – 22 July
Once you complete your Visit Angus Listing your accommodation will be featured on the Visit Angus website, and if you have availability for The Open 2018, your details will also be added to the Carnoustie Country website.
Why have a listing?
Listings are a free way to promote your product or service to visitors. It’s also a great way to increase awareness of your business or event. Your listing will be used on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and in enewsletters which reach thousands of potential visitors.
Digital Information Units (iSigns)
There are a number of Visit Angus iSigns throughout the county which provide visitors with Angus tourism information. The content on these units is sourced from the Visit Angus website, so business listings on www.visitangus.com also appear on the iSigns for free, which are networked throughout Scotland.

Facebook: Visit Angus has over 8,200 likes and growing. On average, it reaches over 100,000 people a month. Like the Visit Angus page and we’ll like your page and share your updates.
Twitter: Visit Angus has over 1,300 followers and growing. On average, @Visit_Angus generates over 40,000 tweet impressions a month. Follow Visit Angus and we will share your tweets.
Instagram: Visit Angus has recently set up an Instagram account to showcase the area through imagery, things to see and do, accommodation, food and drink and events and festivals. Follow Visit Angus and we’ll follow you. Include #VisitAngus in your posts to give us permission to share your posts.
#VisitAngus: By using this hashtag it will allow us to easily find and share your posts across the social media channels and help promote Angus through imagery, films and text.
#TasteofAngus: This hashtag is used for food & drink related posts, including our weekly ‘where to eat in Angus’ posts which highlight local cafes, restaurants and bars.
#ThrowbackThursday: This hashtag is used weekly, when we share an image and accompanying text about Angus’s past – this can be a past event, an historical landmark or images of how a place used to look.
#FFF: Friday’s Fascinating Fact is a weekly campaign, where we highlight an interesting fact about the people and places of Angus.
#ScotSpirit is VisitScotland’s global ‘Spirit of Scotland’ campaign hashtag which you are encouraged to include in your tweets and posts on Facebook and Twitter to share experiences in Angus and Scotland.
