In Scotland 1 in 5 adults have a criminal conviction. They have wide ranging skill sets, however they are also disproportionately unemployed, underemployed and underutilised.

Employing people with convictions can seem daunting and difficult. However, it has far reaching benefits for business and communities.

Recruit with Conviction, in partnership with Angus & Dundee City Councils, are pleased to announce the development of an East of Scotland network on the potential benefits of engaging with and employing people with convictions.

This network opens the opportunity to improve the pathways to employment and provides an opportunity for people to learn why many employers including Boots, NHS Lothian and Timpsons have widened their recruitment to include people with convictions.

The Recruit With Conviction model encourages honesty from the beginning and builds safe and sustainable relationships between employers & employee’s. All of our workshops and seminars provide networking opportunities, and time for open discussion to capture the range of thoughts and suggestions of attendees.
