Scottish Enterprise are organising these events, which are being held as part of Scottish Tourism Month to showcase best practice in rural tourism and to highlight the impact on farm diversification to the rural economy.
Claire Fleming and family who own and run Peel Farm have gone on to make investment, grow sales and profits since completing the monitor farm project three years ago. Kim Cameron who until recently was renting the farm cafe and farm shop from the Flemings has gone on to grow her Gin Bothy business signifcantly,.
Find out what’s being going on in these businesses, hear directly from the business owners – Claire and Kim and network with other people with an interest in looking at best practice farm tourism, food tourism and rural tourism in Scotland. Hear from other farmers and tourism operators who were involved in the monitor farm about their experiences over the past three years.
